It’s been a while since I visited the site, but I haven’t really stopped collecting. It’s sad though that there haven’t been a lot of new stuff for Marvel collectors, but the Anime collectors seem to be having a great time!
But what was a bit sad for me was that I got a Foldio light box back in June, but didn’t really have the time to use it since then. So a few days ago, when I had some free time, I brought it out and took pictures of some of my favorite Minifigures with no real goal!
Had a ton of fun, even though my pictures didn’t come out as nice as I would’ve wanted them to.
I typically edit and adjust these on my phone before posting them on Instagram, so please forgive the not-so-good quality on this post, wahaha.
If you guys want to try out taking pictures too, I recommend the Foldio! But there are cheaper options in AliExpress that I have actually tried before too! I know Minifigures are small, but I would recommend picking bigger-than-needed lightboxes to give you more allowance. Here’s some I spotted:

I also found the time to have a movie date last Wednesday and watch The Marvels! In the mall’s cinema area, these were on display and it just further fueled my interest in the hobby!

Pretty much no new figs eh? Welcome to the fun world us DC collectors have been in for quite a while. I’m shocked about the amount of new figs these past few days.
Hahaha I guess the Minifigure brands haven’t been impressed by the recent Marvel and DC movies 🙁
6 sets of Miles Morales / Spider-Verse says the minifigure brands are interested in some properties. Also, the strike which pretty much shut down down the entire film and TV industry in the US for the last 5 months probably stalled a lot of movie releases and contributes to lack of new content.
That definitely makes sense. A couple of Disney+ shows were missed too. Hopefully the new DC James Gunn movies + the upcoming Marvel What If do well and have cool designs for Minifigure brands to make! 😀

I just bought the last years worth of figures from Aliexpress hoping to get the benefit of the 11.11 sale (they’ve changed the website a lot, but made nothing better as usual). I was disappointed that you haven’t done comparisons of figures across brands for a while, since that’s the most useful type of post you’ve done. I managed to find some people on youtube who had bought and reviewed the figures, but I had to compare across videos and they’re not as good at being thorough and consistent. Looking forward to seeing you more active here, but it seems like fewer figures are being released now.
Before I got extra busy, I took pictures of the GOTG and Ant-Man Minifigures from across brands since almost all brands had them and it was a good opportunity to compare. I’ll try to redo them, even though it’s been a while and quality might have changed already. 🙁
But thank you for reminding me this! I’ll definitely try comparison reviews again. 😀
To summarize my findings from GOTG & Ant-Man though: Koruit and XINH were my faves, while WM was a bit TOO detailed (some prefer this though) and Kopf had weird design choices at times.
